Adverank Launches First Self Storage Website Built on Cubby API

The Adverank Blocks platform used the Cubby API to launch a new self storage website in under 30 days.

Adverank, the self storage marketing software company, today announced they have successfully launched the first self storage website built using the Cubby API.

The website deadline needed to align with the launch of the brand identity and store openings. The teams worked together to get the website live and taking rentals in under 30 days.

"The new website launch had hard deadlines tied to their store openings," said Jason Zickler, CEO of Adverank. "Thirty days later they had a website taking rentals. That's only possible because Blocks is software instead of a stack, and because Cubby gave us real API access."

A different kind of integration

Until now, operators putting Cubby's rental experience on their website used Cubby's embedded storefront components, a proven approach that gets a facility renting online quickly, and one that will continue to serve most operators well.

The API integration allows for operators looking to take a different path. Instead of embedding a rental module into a site, Adverank Blocks pulls unit, pricing, and availability data directly from Cubby and builds the entire rental experience natively inside the website.

For operators, the difference is control:

  • The rental flow is fully controllable. Design, layout, rental flow and copy belong to the operator.

  • Every page is a real page. Unit and location pages are indexable and editable, built to be found in search and AI answers.

  • Live data, true availability. Every page pulls unit availability and pricing from Cubby in real time. Most website integrations work from cached data that refreshes on a schedule, which is how a customer ends up renting a unit that's already been taken.

  • Ad campaign data follows the rental. Blocks passes ad source information into Cubby's fields, so operators can see which campaigns produced actual move-ins.

"Operators have been asking for the same two things for years: give me more control over my renter experience and help me improve online conversion," said Matt Engfer, Cofounder and CEO of Cubby. "Our storefront components solve these problems for a lot of operators. The API takes it even further. This is exactly why we built an open platform so partners like Adverank could extend what is available out of box."

Built for big brands and those that are still growing

The operator's first location is open, and has already added additional locations with more in development. Adding a location to the Blocks site does not require a new project, a development quote, or a rebuild. A location added in Cubby appears on the website with its own page, live inventory, and working checkout in minutes, not months.
